This is a repair kit for a common problem developing in some LG 50PK / 50PX series models plasma TVs with power supply board shown on the picture.

Coppell TV Repair LLC offers you a repair kit for a common problem developing in some LG 50PK / 50PX series models plasma TVs with power supply board shown on the picture.

Failure types and symptoms addressed by the kit, repair task difficulty level and other related and important information can be found below.

As with all repairs please note that we can never guarantee that this kit is all that is needed to fix the TV. It is offerred based on experience and technical information available to Coppell TV Repair at the time of the listing. For details please see the warranty conditions section below.

Failure symptoms

Please note: Every failure has a component of randomness in it and as such you should be aware that failure symptoms may vary from failure to failure and sometimes you can get the same components fail with a different manifestation of the falure and the other way around - sometimes a TV may manifest certain symptoms and just because a listing includes them does not automatically mean they are caused by this exact same failure.

Try to find shorted / open components as indicated for a better confirmation of the failure source.

One typical failure symptom of a failed power supply board is a TV that has a standby power, but upon attempting to turn TV on it clicks on and quickly back off, never actually turning on and staying on.

An open fuse F302 or shorted diode D304 (located on the right side of heat sink HS2 toward the middle of the board) are a definite sign for the need of this repair kit.

BOARD AND REPAIR KIT VERSIONS

Please note there are two different yet fully compatible PCB revisions for this power supply board.

The differences between them are minor yet both happen to be affected by this failure.

In a nutshell, some power boards have THREE power resistors in the upper right corners while others have TWO such resistors.

Those resistors have normally low resistance (under 30 ohms) and fail fuses - blow open. Finding an open one is a certain indication you need this repair kit for your power supply.

Accordingly there are two versions of the kit - one of the PCB with 2 resistors and the other with 3 resistors.

Please make sure to look at your actual board BEFORE placing an order!

Kit contents

At the time of this listing's creation the kit contained 1 fuse (F302), 1 diode (D304) , two power resistors (R927, R929) or three power resistors and the IC301 voltage regulator IC.

Contents may change as we gain more experience and see other commonly failed components and this listing may not necessarily be timely updated.

Notes

1) As with all power boards please exercise caution and allow the board 5-10 minutes after disconnecting from power before starting to work on it!

WARRANTY CONDITIONS

Coppell TV Repair LLC does not guarantee that this product is all that is needed to resolve the problems with your TV.

Most of the repair kits we offer are based on first hand experience servicing boards at our repair facility.

Over time they may get expanded with our own experience or information from manufacturer service bulletins, customer feedback etc.

Yet failure can be unique and there can not be guarantee that what has worked one, ten or even hundred times will also work the next one.

Just as important, every repair involves about equal portion of quality of parts and quality of worksmanship and as we have no control over the worksmanship quality unless we are the ones performing it we would be unwise to provide warranty of the products utilized by that worksmanship.

As such, no warranty is offered on this product once the components in it are soldered on a board.

If you would like warranty please see if a REPAIR SERVICE is offered instead of a kit. Unless otherwise noted all our repair services do come with a standard warranty.
