REPAIR SERVICE FOR LG 42PC5DC-UL POWER SUPPLY FOR DEAD TV, SLOW STARTING OR CLICKING ON AND OFF TV

If your LG 42PC5DC-UL 42'' plasma TV is starting slowly, totally dead or clicking on and off and never starting up you may need this repair service for its power supply board
$69.95

Coppell TV Repair LLC offers a REPAIR SERVICE for power supply board EAY32808901 shown on the picture and used in LG 42PB4DT.

REPAIR SERVICE means that you need to send us your malfunctioning board that we will attempt to service, test and return to you.

We will test your board and if we find a problem will try to resolve it, then test the board again and when ready will send a payment request for the amount specified in this listing, which includes return S&H.

If the board is working we will notify you and charge up to $25 diagnostc fee plus return S&H.

If the board is bad and fail to fix it we'll again notify you and charge you return S&H only (rounded up, but not inflated in any way).

IMPORTANT NOTE 1:  Do not assume your TV has this board inside based on Internet specifications. Prior to sending us a board PLEASE make sure it is the same as the one in the picture!

Failure symptoms

There are several different failure symptoms, the three most common being completely dead TV,  randomly shutting off or taking time to turn on TV and clicking , but never turning on unit; the last can also be (and often is) caused by a failed sustain board, which may or may not have killed the power supply board; the best thing to do in such case is send all three boards for evaluation if functionality of the sustain boards can not be individually confirmed.

Before sending the board to us we strongly recommend you do a quick simple test by simply disconnecting all cables from it other than the AC power supply cable.
Then you connect the board to AC power.
A good board should click once and stay in that condition until you disconnect the AC cable at which point it should click back.

Be careful and let it discharge for a few minutes before operating it again after connected to AC!

Note: sometimes the board may click OFF shortly after it is connected to AC and it may still be good; some boards need load in the Vs circuit to remain on otherwise the output voltage keeps increasing until the overvoltage protection kicks in and shuts them off.

Processing time

Typical processing time for the repair is within two business days; if we have any probems that require more time (be it overload or technical problems) we will contact you with an update and request for more time.

We have a fairly high success ratio, but we still do not guarantee success; if we can't get the board to work, though, you will not need to pay.

Payment

Presently we do not charge in advance for repair services.

Instead, once the board(s) are received, tested, found to be defective, serviced and tested again to success we send a payment request to the customer.

If something along the process - such as unexpected difficulty or finding a board to be functional - arises we contact the customer via email and/or phone and disscuss options.

Minimal charge / diagnostic fee

If a board arrives and is determined to be functional we charge up to $25 for diagnostic fee.

For explanation of why do we do that please read this article.

Board requirements

Statistics prove in unmistakable manner that boards that have been previously worked on take more time and often end up costing more to repair than the advertised flat rate.

For that reason we ask that you do not send us boards with traces of previous repairs or if you do be advised that we reserve the right to reject service or reject giving warranty on the repair (if we decide to proceed with it).

This is not to say that we will reject or refuse warranty on every board that arrives.

Use practical judgement and know what to expect!
